Sloto ("we", "our", or "the app") is operated by Jayesh Paliwal (trading as Sloto), based in Dublin, Ireland. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We take your privacy seriously — we collect only what we need, store it securely, and never sell your data to anyone.
1. What Data We Collect
Account Information
Sloto requires you to sign in with Google or Apple before using the app. When you sign in, we receive your name and email address from the sign-in provider. We use this to create your account and associate your activity (bookmarks, parking history, reports) with you.
Location Data
When you use the app, we request access to your device's location so we can show nearby parking spots and calculate distances. Your location is only used while the app is open. We do not track or store your location history.
Parking Reports
If you submit a spot availability report, we store the report along with the parking location and timestamp. Reports are linked to your user ID.
Wrong Info Reports
If you report incorrect parking data, we store the report including the parking location, the type of issue reported, any comment you add, any photos you attach, and your user ID.
Feedback
If you submit feedback via the in-app feedback form, we store your message and your user ID.
Subscription Data
When you subscribe to Sloto Premium, subscription status and billing metadata are processed by RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
App Preferences
Preferences such as your saved parked car location are stored locally on your device only and are never sent to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Sloto service
- To show you nearby parking spots based on your location
- To display crowd-sourced availability reports to other users
- To fix incorrect parking data reported by users
- To process your subscription and manage billing
- To read and respond to feedback you submit
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud platform with servers located in the European Union. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
App preferences and your saved parked car location are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. Reports, feedback, and account information you choose to submit are stored on our servers as described in Section 1.
4. GDPR — Your Rights
As a resident of Ireland or the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to deletion — you can request that we delete your account and all associated data
- Right to correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to portability — you can request your data in a portable format
- Right to object — you can object to how we process your data

5. Third Party Services
Sloto uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication and database storage (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Google Sign-In — optional account login (Google Privacy Policy)
- Apple Sign-In — optional account login on iOS (Apple Privacy Policy)
- Mapbox — map tiles and navigation (Mapbox Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (RevenueCat Privacy Policy)
- Smart Dublin Open Data — parking location data (public dataset)
We do not share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
Sloto is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
