This guide explains how to permanently remove your Sloto account and all associated data. This is permanent. Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered.
1. Two Ways to Delete Your Account
In-App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the Sloto app:
- Open the Sloto app on your phone
- Tap the Profile tab (person icon at the bottom)
- Sign in with Google or Apple if you are not already signed in
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account (red link at the bottom of the screen)
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
- Type DELETE to verify
Your account and all associated data will be removed immediately.
Via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to legal@sloto.ie
- Use the subject line Account deletion request
- Send the email from the address registered to your Sloto account
- Include your account email in the body of the message
Email requests are processed within 7 days.
2. What Data is Permanently Removed
When your account is deleted, the following data is removed from our servers:
- Profile information (name, email, avatar)
- All submitted reports (crowd reports, spot reports, wrong info reports)
- Feedback messages
- Reporting statistics
- Uploaded photos
- Your Google or Apple sign-in connection
3. Locally-Saved Data
Some data is saved only on your device and is not stored on our servers — for example, your most recently saved parked car, onboarding progress, and local app preferences. This local data persists on your device until you uninstall the Sloto app.
4. GDPR Compliance
We process deletion requests within 30 days, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you have any questions about data deletion or your rights under GDPR, contact us at legal@sloto.ie — we aim to respond within 24 hours.
